Post overview:
This post is for a Specialty Doctor with experience in CAMHS and LD to work on the specialist Inpatient Unit. The unit is 5 bedded and for children aged 13 - 18.
The CAMHS & LD Services provide a range of community-based and inpatient services including specialist LD Psychiatry services across several London Boroughs
You will be joining a several consultant and middle grade psychiatrists, as well as a fully complemented team with a range of other professional disciplines. The service is well led service and a recent successful CQC inspection demonstrates their commitment to good quality care and professional growth.
The full inspection report is rated as 'good' and the service meets all required standards of practice and staff well-being.
The service provides a range of specialist community as well as Children and Adult Specialist Inpatient Services to meet the needs of individuals with learning disabilities who present with behavioural impairment and / or mental health problems and / or Autistic Spectrum Conditions and / or forensic issues whose needs cannot be met within mainstream services.

An excellent opportunity for a Locum Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists to join an high performing Adolescent Inpatient Unit.
This is an established post and the successful applicant will join a fellow consultant (lead clinician) and an experience multidisciplinary team.
The Inpatient Unit is a 16 bedded, Tier 4 Adolescent inpatient Unit within London.
The facility provided its services 365 days of the year and offers emergency, urgent and planned admissions for young people aged between 13 - 18.
Admissions are organized alongside the in house Adolescent Outreach Team aiming, as possible, to take place during working hours. Out of hours arrangements are in place and a clear protocol is in operation.
The Trust offers opportunities for participating in research depending on post holders interests. Consultants with a particular interest can undertake research, which, if approved, is allowed for in their job plan.

General working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:00 and will this role will include participating in the on call rota.

An exciting opportunity for a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join the a Generic & Neurodevelopmental Community CAMHS Service based in London.
You will be working as part of an established Generic Outpatient CAMHS team contributing to the provision of a specialist and multi-disciplinary community based Child and Adolescent Mental Health service.
This role will involve working closely with schools, the local authority and GPs.
This community CAMHS team is supportive and welcoming, meaning that it is a great place for psychiatrists newly appointed to the NHS.
The Generic / Neurodevelopmental Team provides a comprehensive range of assessment and therapeutic interventions, and consultation to professionals dealing with children, young people and families with emotional and behavioural difficulties, as well as providing assessment and treatment for Autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
In the Generic/ NDS team the work may include initiating and following up patients on medication, diagnosis and treatment of ADHD, assessment and managing Autism Spectrum Disorders with co-morbid mental health problems; treating mood/ anxiety disorders and tic disorders, as well as a consultation role in complex cases involving multi-agency liaison including safeguarding.
The service is well staffed, including Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, Clinical / Counselling Psychologists, Child Psychotherapists, Family Therapists, CAMHS Practitioners and Mental Health Nurses.
The Trust is a member of UCL Partners Academic Health Sciences Consortium. And has close links with a number of local academic institutions and has been involved in a research projects.
