This is an exceptional chance for overseas Consultants aiming to establish themselves in the NHS and grow their consultant career in the UK. The role is suitable for EEA-specialised candidates or experienced IMGs seeking CESR completion.

The Oncology Department delivers advanced systemic and radiotherapy treatments for Lancashire and South Cumbria. With a strong reputation for patient-centered care and collaboration, the trust has expanded significantly since 1997. Notable developments include a 2012 expansion co-locating chemotherapy and outpatient services with radiotherapy, opening a second chemotherapy unit in 2017, and refurbishing the 24-bedded oncology ward in 2021. The department also boasts an impressive Radiotherapy department accredited to ISO 9001:2015, actively engages in academic collaborations with esteemed universities, and is continuously improving treatment accuracy through innovative projects.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE?

EEA Candidates:

  • Experience of working in Medical/Clinical Oncology
  • Board Certified Specialist in Medical/Clinical Oncology

Non-EEA Candidates:

  • Experience of working in  Medical/Clinical Oncology
  • Eligibility for GMC registration
  • OET or IELTS (candidates who have booked their test and have good levels of English will be considered)
