Consultant Psychiatrist - Adult Inpatient

A mental health provider in London seeks a Consultant Psychiatrist for an acute male inpatient service. Based in a 17-bedded ward, this role offers a unique chance to lead a multidisciplinary team within a vibrant and supportive consultant network. International and UK-based applicants with MRCPsych or equivalent qualifications are encouraged to apply.

Anyone requiring portfolio support (formally known as CESR) can have their required support discussed on a case-by-case basis.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DETAILS:

• GMC registration, section 12 approval, or eligibility for Approved Clinician status is required.
• Expertise in acute mental health care under the MHA is essential.
• The salary will be competitive, dependent on experience or grade.

• Oversee patient care for 17 male inpatients with complex psychiatric conditions.
• Collaborate with the MDT to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
• Mentor and train junior staff as part of the organization’s teaching programs.
• Actively contribute to clinical audits and service improvements.
