An excellent opportunity to join an "outstanding" accident & emergency department in the UK. Applications are open for Senior Clinical Fellow's in Emergency Medicine to join on a fixed term basis of 12 months initially,
Rated as "outstanding" by the GMC, this department is set within a high performing acute Hospital, rated as "good" overall. The hospital is located in the East of England, just over an hour from London, and within driving distance to international airports.
There is a type 1 Emergency Department which is a dedicated Trauma Unit within the East of England Trauma Network, with a recently opened Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit and Urgent Treatment Centre.
The department is supported by an Urgent Treatment Centre that sees minor illness ‘streamed’ from the ED from 11am to 11pm.
There is an active teaching programme for all Middle Grade Doctors including Senior Clinical Fellows, Specialty Doctors and training Registrars.
The Middle grade teaching is focussed around the FRCEM curriculum and those middle grades (including Senior Clinical Fellows) that are not currently on a training programme will be supported to sit the RCEM exams and be offered CESR training to apply for CCT if eligible.
