An exciting opportunity for a general adult consultant psychiatrist to join an established team in a new state of the art facility in London.
You will be working in a brand new facility providing psychiatric care in an 18-bed mixed sex acute psychiatric ward.
The trust is university affiliated, and rated as 'good' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The brand new facility has been designed to feel friendly, open and light, making this a unique environment to work with patients and their carers. Outdoor views and direct access to outdoor space is built in to the design.
The post offers 10 Programmed Activities per week – 7.5 PAs for direct clinical care and up to 2.5 PAs for supporting professional activity.
As a senior clinician, the post holder will have an integral role in the performance of the team, further development of the service, and the development of clinical pathways and priorities.
The ward is a mixed sex psychiatric ward for patients aged 18 years and above. The ward provides assessment and treatment for patients that present in the acute phase of their mental disorder. Acute presentations cover the whole spectrum of the ICD-10 diagnoses, including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar affective disorder, depressive and anxiety disorder and severe personality disorders.
There is a broad skill mix in the department, and you will be working as part of an established and growing MDT.
