The Trust is based on two acute sites with most acute medical services and specialties duplicated on each site.
The Acute Medicine team is multidisciplinary, working closely with key teams, including the Emergency Department, specialist teams, Radiology, GPs and community services.
The AMU has a total bed base of 68 across both hospital sites (approx 50/50). The Acute Medical Service has recently undergone a significant service re-design.
You can be in the countryside in less than ten minutes from all major towns and cities in the area, with some of the most stunning scenery and outdoor space in the country.

Requirements for the post:
UK based applicants:
- Hold CCT, or within 6 months of completing CESR
- Specialist diploma in acute & general medicine
- Consultant experience in acute or general medicine
