This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring oncology consultants to join a specialist cancer centre in the North East of England.
The Department of Oncology wishes to appoint a locum Consultant in GI oncology on an initial fixed-term contract or permanent contract, depending on whether the applicant has Specialist Registration or not.
The appointment would bring the current consultant workforce to twenty-one oncologists and the post will be predominantly based in the Cancer Centre at the main site, with the option of a peripheral clinic in nearby towns.

The department boasts an expanded chemotherapy unit designed to meet the increasing demand for systemic treatment with established nurse-led and pharmacy-led chemotherapy clinics.
