This is a great opportunity for senior Gastroenterologists at either specialty doctor or consultant grade looking to attain their CESR and work as consultants.
Working for an integrated gastroenterology service for a well-run teaching hospital trust in the North West of England, the successful applicant would join a team of nine consultants and a fully complimented team of associate specialists and specialist trainees. The post holder will be supported in to develop an area of special interest which ideally compliments the existing consultant team, with these interests including bowel cancer screening, nutrition, upper GI cancer, hepatology, HPB, ERCP and EUS, research and neuroendocrine tumors.
Applicants looking for consultant roles would be included in a seven day Bleeding Service and would be expected to contribute to 7 day endoscopy provision.
The rota is currently a 1:5 but pending appointments and return from maternity leave would reduce to 1:8.
Requirements for this position are:
- MRCP UK
- IELTS or OET
- SCE in Gastroenterology is desirable
- At least four years specialising in gastroenterology
