Job Description

A major NHS teaching hospital in the UK is seeking a Locum Consultant in Clinical Oncology specialising in Head and Neck and Skin cancers. The department includes a large team of consultants and junior doctors. This post is open to both international and UK-trained doctors, with those holding FRCR Oncology, European Specialist accreditation or equivalent qualifications highly encouraged to apply.

Portfolio support (CESR) is available and will be tailored to individual needs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DETAILS

Qualified candidates must possess FRCR or an equivalent and have substantial relevant experience. The salary is between £105,504 to 139,882, based on experience or grade.

CORE DUTIES OF THIS ROLE

  • Provide specialized care in Head and Neck and Skin cancers using advanced therapies.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions and contribute to clinical audits.
  • Drive research and clinical trial activities to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Oversee the development of trainees and medical students.
