WHAT IS THE GENERAL ADULT PSYCHIATRY DEPARTMENT & TEAM LIKE?
The Team unites specialist medical, nursing, social work, occupational therapy, psychology, support workers and administrative staff within the service reporting to a single management structure. Each ACMHS has a team leader who reports to a Community Mental Health Service Manager who is responsible for the quality of the service provided. Each quadrant has Clinical Nurse Specialist and Senior Social Worker roles that are responsible for the line management and professional leadership of nursing and social work staff. Each ACMHS Quadrant has at least one identified Lead Consultant Psychiatrist.
The average rate of new referrals is 37 new referrals per month. In 2021 there were approximately 24 referrals under the crisis team, 12 SU have been detained under the MHAct, 246 on Care Programme Approach (CPA) and 9 on Community Treatment Order (CTO).
The successful applicant will be mainly working across the Adult Community Mental Health Team. The post holder will be responsible for the assessment and treatment people of working age from his/her catchment with mental health problems, which are referred or otherwise present to secondary care mental health services.
