Job Description

A UK-based charitable organisation is looking for a Clinical Psychologist/Counselling Psychologist (Band 7) to join their team in the Therapies Department. The role is based at a district general hospital, where the successful candidate will support adults with acquired brain injuries in their rehabilitation process. This role is open to both international applications and UK-based doctors, though those with Doctoral level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology and HCPC registration are most encouraged to apply.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DETAILS

  • Candidates must hold Doctoral level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, with HCPC registration.
  • Experience in working with clients with cognitive impairments or acquired brain injuries is essential.
  • The salary will be competitive, dependent on experience or grade.

CORE DUTIES OF THIS ROLE

  • Provide psychological assessments and interventions for clients with acquired brain injuries.
  • Offer support and training to staff involved in rehabilitation.
  • Supervise junior staff and psychology students.
  • Conduct research, audits, and contribute to publications.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic patient care.
