An NHS acute hospital in the South East is looking for a Specialist in Acute Medicine with an interest in Same Day Emergency Care and Acute Assessment. The Acute Medicine department comprises a team of 5 consultants and is supported by a large team of middle grade doctors. This Acute Medicine job is open to both international applications and UK-based doctors, though those with European Specialist or MRCP (UK) qualification are most encouraged to apply.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DETAILS
Full GMC registration with MRCP (UK) and a minimum of 12 years’ medical experience (including 6 in Acute Medicine) are required for this role, and anyone with an interest in Same Day Emergency Care and Acute Assessment should apply. The salary will be between £96,990 to £107,155 dependent on experience or grade.
CORE DUTIES OF THIS ROLE
Deliver direct clinical care within the Acute Assessment Unit (AAU), Emergency Department (ED), and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit, including consultant-led ward rounds.
Provide supervision and clinical leadership to junior doctors and nursing staff during shifts.
Participate in the Acute Medicine on-call rota, including weekend cover.
Engage in clinical governance, teaching, audit, and optional research activities.
