Job Description

An NHS hospital in Southeast Wales is looking for a Speciality Doctor in Stroke Medicine. The department includes 10 consultants and a strong team of middle grade doctors. This Stroke Medicine job is open to both UK-based and international doctors, particularly those with MRCP (UK) or equivalent European qualifications.

CESR support is available and will be discussed on an individual basis.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DETAILS

  • MRCP UK 
  • Independent experience as a Stroke Physicians 
  • Experience in independent Thrombolysis 

The salary will be between £59,727 to £95,400 dependent on experience or grade.

CORE DUTIES OF THIS ROLE

  • Provide comprehensive assessment and care for stroke patients with a holistic approach
  • Manage complex co-morbidities and optimise recovery through medication and therapy plan
  • Engage in multi-disciplinary team activities, clinical governance, and outpatient services
  • Contribute to on-call stroke service, including emergency stroke management and post-take rounds.
