WHAT IS THE DEPARTMENT & TEAM LIKE?
The department offers a range of cancer services across the NHS Trust's sites and strive to deliver a high quality, comprehensive service that is tailored around the individual needs of the patient. The dedicated cancer care team is here to offer support in every aspect of care, and at every stage of treatment. Their services range from diagnostics to surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
The team provides a comprehensive specialist Consultant-based service for the assessment, treatment and follow-up of cancer patients. They have a skilled multi-disciplinary team consisting of Therapy Radiographers, Registered Nurses and a Chemotherapy Team. Patient support includes access to a dietician, social care worker, pharmacy, and counselling and information service.

We are currently looking to recruit Geriatricians to join a team with an excellent clinical reputation in providing a range of elderly care services. Applications are welcome from geriatricians with a range of experience, from specialty doctor to consultant. CESR is supported in this role.
UK and international applications are welcomed. You will join a consultant team delivering high quality elderly care services, meeting the needs of service to frail and older patients wherever they are based in the community or hospital.

You will join the department at a time of rapid growth and Geriatrics service development across the whole local health system including primary care, secondary care and community care. You will have an opportunity to gain valuable experience of service transformation and development.
The consultant team delivers a high quality needs related service to frail and older patients wherever they are. The team uses their knowledge and experience to lead and influence the development of services for the frail and elderly both within the Trust and in the community.
