The Royal College of Emergency Medicine took the difficult decision to cancel all events for the months of April, May and June following the escalation of the virus. As well as delay the rease of certain results.
As the UK and most of the world remain in some form of lockdown, the Royal College has not announced when it is expecting to open up its centres again in 2020. Understandably this will be tied into government advice and that of the WHO whilst most examiners involved in the OSCE examinations will be tied into urgent clinical duties.
IMG Connect is keeping a very close eye on the examination & results schedule and will keep all our IMGs informed as soon as the College publishes some updates. You can find the updated exam schedule here
Key exam updates for IMGs:
FRCEM Intermediate Results Day
The Intermediate SAQ is marked by examiners and therefore the results release date will be delayed until 12 June 2020.
All current examination places will be honoured on the next available examination. The royal college are currently investigating options for revised sittings of the FRCEM Primary. However, will not be able to accommodate an additional MRCEM OSCE examination in 2020.
As soon as the trust set new exam dates, your place will be automatically transferred and you will be contacted directly.
There will be no additional fees to transfer your booking to the next available examination.
If your examination has been postponed you do not need to book your place on the next exam, you will be automatically rebooked and contacted. Do not book another exam.
