WHAT IS THE NHS TRUST LIKE?WHAT IS THE GENERAL ADULT DEPARTMENT LIKE?
The team is currently developing towards operating a 24/7 core service and the clinical lead will be expected to work some shifts across 7 days, usual working hours will be 9-5, a level of flexibility will be required. A
close working relationship between Integrated care is essential for delivery of the service, the team acts as the link between mental health and the acute trust, advocating for the mental health of patients. The liaison team provides psychiatric input to the acute hospital for those presenting with a mental health problem (age 16 upwards). An important part of the role is sensitively challenging stigma when faced with it and educating others to enhance understanding.
The successful candidate would be expected to work across the acute hospital, and be involved in the assessment of patients within the emergency department as well as supporting wards.
