Job Description

A mental health and community care provider in the UK is looking for a Band 7 Specialist Clinical Psychologist with an interest in neuropsychology and rehabilitation. The role involves providing neuropsychological assessments, therapy, and rehabilitation as part of a multi-disciplinary neurorehabilitation team.

This role is open to both UK-based and international applicants, though candidates must be HCPC-registered clinical psychologists. Anyone requiring clinical supervision, professional development, or specialist training in neuropsychology can have their requirements discussed on a case-by-case basis.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DETAILS

  • Candidates must hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent), be registered with the HCPC, and have experience in neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation.
  • Prior experience working in a multi-disciplinary setting and delivering psychological therapy in neurorehabilitation or neurological conditions is desirable.
  • The salary will be Band 7 (£43,742 - £50,056 per annum), dependent on experience.

CORE DUTIES OF THIS ROLE

  • Conduct neuropsychological assessments, cognitive rehabilitation, and psychological therapy for patients with neurological conditions.
  • Provide support and psychoeducation to families and carers to aid in recovery and adjustment.
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and speech and language therapists.
  • Deliver teaching, training, and consultation to the wider multi-disciplinary team and external organisations.
  • Contribute to service development, clinical governance, and research in the field of neuropsychology and rehabilitation.
