Job Title: Family Medicine – GP

We are recruiting x2 Family Medicine physicians (General Practitioners) to join an established Medical Clinic in West Canada.

With applications open to overseas-qualified doctors, this is a great opportunity for any GP with UK training and experience in family medicine to begin a new life in one of the most globally sought after locations.

The Clinic

The clinic provides comprehensive care to the community via a 100+ strong team of physicians, pharmacists, physician specialists, and nurse practitioners. Core responsibilities:

Working as a primary care or family medicine physician, your core responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide comprehensive care and management for chronic diseases
  • Support same-day appointments to enhance accessibility and patient satisfaction
  • Contribute to the clinic initiatives and strategic direction
  • Implement preventive care strategies

Renumeration:

Working under the fee-for-service model, the role presents a long-term vision for physicians moving to the area, and encourages fostering of good relationships with patients and their families, and a long-term approach to making yourself successful and prosperous in this role.

    A private diagnostic imaging clinic in a major Canadian city is looking for a Radiologist with an interest in specialized imaging services. The radiology team comprises a motivated group of professionals, including radiologists, Ultrasound Technologists, and Medical Radiation Technologists. This radiology job is open to both international applications and Canada-based doctors, though those with CCT from the UK, Ireland, or qualifications recognised by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) are most encouraged to apply.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DETAILS

    A fellowship level qualification  in Diagnostic Radiology from the Australasia region, South Africa, Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Ireland, UK, and the USA is required for this role, and anyone with an interest in specialized imaging services such as Breast Imaging, MSK Ultrasound, or Image-Guided Pain Management should apply.     Experienced Pathology Consultants from around the globe are encouraged to apply for consultant roles in one of the largest Foundation Trusts in the South East of England. The trust actively seeks experienced consultants, whether or not they are currently on the specialist register, with a commitment to supporting those not on the register for CESR if that is their preference. This Trust, boasting nearly 10,000 staff and an annual budget exceeding £715 million in 2019/20, operates two large general hospitals in the East of England that consistently perform well according to their CQC reports.

    The Histopathology department at this Trust is on a trajectory of advancement, aiming to incorporate the latest technologies and innovations to meet the current and future challenges of the modern NHS. An exciting collaboration with a large teaching hospital and tertiary center in China is underway, promising extensive opportunities for research and teaching within the Histopathology department. The post holder will play a crucial role in surgical pathology and cytopathology, engaging with a dynamic and multidisciplinary team.

    The work environment within the Histopathology department is characterized by surgical cut-up performed by Consultant Pathologists, Specialty Registrars, and Biomedical Scientists. Two biomedical scientists have completed the Diploma of Expert Practice in Histological dissection (cut-up), with ongoing training for another. Technical staff handle small biopsies, while Consultant Pathologists report all FNA and non-cervical cytology specimens. Although there is no sub-specialization in surgical histology or diagnostic cytology at present, lead pathologists for each cancer site act as contact points within the department, actively participating in multidisciplinary meetings. Importantly, there is no on-call commitment, and the post holder has the option to undertake coronial post-mortem examinations by direct agreement with local coroners services.

    Currently, there are six consultant pathologists, with capacity for two more, including the current vacancy. The Histopathology and Blood Science services are fully accredited by UKAS, participating in both interpretative and technical EQA schemes. The hospital itself holds HTA approval as an institution.

    Are you eligible for this role?
    To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:

    • Specialist Registration in Histopathology or
    • FRCPath and extensive consultant experience or
    • GMC registration with reporting experience in a similar healthcare system
    Experience from similar healthcare systems with similar reporting methods will be considered for these roles. Any consultant pathologists not on the specialist register for histopathology will be supported for CESR if that is their desire.
