An NHS cancer centre in North West England is looking for a Consultant in Clinical Oncology with an interest in Gynaecological and Upper GI cancers. The Oncology department at the Rosemere Cancer Centre comprises a team of 21 Consultant Clinical Oncologists and 5 Consultant Medical Oncologists, supported by a multidisciplinary team of nurses, radiographers, and pharmacists.
Anyone requiring portfolio support (formally known as CESR) can have their required support discussed on a case-by-case basis.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DETAILS
This Clinical Oncology job is open to both international applications and UK-based doctors, though those with European Specialist registration or FRCR qualifications are most encouraged to apply.
Applicants should have full GMC registration, FRCR (or equivalent), and substantial experience in Clinical Oncology. Interest in Gynaecological and Upper GI cancers is essential. The salary will be between £105,504 and £139,882 dependent on experience or grade.
CORE DUTIES OF THIS ROLE
Provide a comprehensive Oncology service, collaborating with Consultant colleagues to develop specialist cancer services.
Work closely with and support the established multidisciplinary site-specific teams.
Participate in the on-call service and provide clinical supervision for junior medical staff.
Contribute to teaching, clinical research, and audits to improve service quality.
