Overview of the department and post:
The Stroke service is highly performing and it is staffed by a dynamic team. The post holder will work across both the Hyper-acute Stroke Unit (HASU) and SU and, together with the multi–disciplinary team, provide and further develop care for stroke and other neurovascular patients from the local and regional catchment areas.
Other exciting developments across the service include the addition of a Stroke Specialist Registrar post together with an increase in junior doctor staffing levels, 7 day therapy for patients on both the HASU and SU and provisions for King’s College Hospital to become part of a 24:7 thrombectomy network in London.
