This is an established Adult Mental Health Service in London.
The team is looking to appoint an experienced Specialty Doctor in General Adult Psychiatry, and can support with Section 12, Approved Clinician and CESR.
The service will comprise a fully integrated mental health team with a visible presence in the local Primary Care Network. The post will therefore involve consultation/liaison with the MDT as well as GPs and primary care services and a mixture of telephone and face to face direct consultation with patients and liaison with acute mental health services.

WHAT IS TRUST AND THE HOSPITAL LIKE?
The Trust is one of the UK's leading healthcare provider and the largest Trust in the NHS. The Trust is formed of several large hospitals with this position being based in the central location, a 800+ bedded hospital. WHAT ARE THE HISTOPATHOLOGY & HAEMATOPATHOLGY DEPARTMENTS & TEAMS LIKE?
The hospital is high performing and with prestigious histopathology and haematopathology departments alike. The Department of Cellular Pathology reports an average of between 60,000 to 70,000 cases per annum with haematopathology making up a smaller part of this, and the department is AKAS accredited. Upon request the Cellular Pathology Manual for the Trust can be provided, giving a full overview of their standards of practice and methodology.

London is a buzzing metropolis and one of the urban centers of Europe, with London offering an incredibly diverse collection of mini-towns all in one large city. The hospitals associated with this trust are all mainly based in Central and East London. Central London's nightlife, art and cultural scene is fantastic, with endless things to do in a friendly, diverse and welcoming environment. Central London is not largely residential and it would be likely you would seek to locate yourself in East or North London, the 'cooler' parts of London. Consultants who are not on the specialist register will be helped where possible to complete their CESR. Otherwise there is ample space to learn, grow and help the trust and department's development into areas such as digital pathology, teaching, research, clinical audit and helping develop other trust initiatives such SIHMDS.

If you are an experienced haematopathologist you will likely be eligible for consideration in one way or another. Requirements for candidates outside the UK typically include:

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Consultant Stroke Geriatrician to join an established Stroke service in London. The trust has an enviable reputation within research and academia, making this an attractive place of work.
The Trust provides a broad range of secondary services, including specialist emergency medicine (e.g. trauma, cardiac and stroke). It also provides a number of leading edge tertiary services, such as liver transplantation, neurosciences, haemato-oncology, foetal medicine, cardiology and cardiac surgery, on a regional and national basis.
Overview of the department and post:
The Stroke service is highly performing and it is staffed by a dynamic team. The creation of this post is one of a number of initiatives to meet growing demand within the department, expanding the service. Over the past year, activity from the Emergency Department has increased and a greater number of patients are receiving treatment and rehabilitation on the Stroke Unit (SU).
The post holder will work across both the Hyper-acute Stroke Unit (HASU) and SU and, together with the multi–disciplinary team, provide and further develop care for stroke and other neurovascular patients from the local and regional catchment areas.
Other exciting developments across the service include the addition of a Stroke Specialist Registrar post together with an increase in junior doctor staffing levels, 7 day therapy for patients on both the HASU and SU and provisions for King’s College Hospital to become part of a 24:7 thrombectomy network in London.
You will work in all the major areas of Stroke Medicine that include the hyper acute management of TIA and Stroke, acute care, rehabilitation and prevention. You will work closely with colleagues in the allied specialties of neuroradiology, neurosurgery, neurorehabilitation and vascular surgery.

An exciting opportunity for a general adult consultant psychiatrist to join an established team in a new state of the art facility in London.
You will be working in a brand new facility providing psychiatric care in an 18-bed mixed sex acute psychiatric ward.

There is a broad skill mix in the department, and you will be working as part of an established and growing MDT.

The ward is a 14 bedded male psychiatric intensive care unit receiving on average 30 new admissions per month.
The post holder will be expected to be a senior member of the team, able to work autonomously in providing medical and psychiatric input to the ward, though responsible-to and supervised by the ward consultant psychiatrist.
The job is based on 10 PAs per working week, it is envisaged that these will be divided into 8 direct clinical care PAs and 2 for Supporting Professional Activities.
