Job Description

A well-regarded NHS Foundation Trust in the UK is recruiting for a Locum Consultant Histopathologist to specaialise neuropathology and head & neck, or urology. 

The Hospital

A major teaching and trauma center in the UK, this hospital is equipped with 1,024 beds, a 24-hour acute admissions unit, and an emergency department. It is part of a dynamic NHS Foundation Trust overseeing a mix of hospitals and community care providers. The Histopathology Department & Team

Working alongside a team of 12 consultants, the position involves providing a comprehensive cellular pathology reporting service to a population of 1.6 million residents across multiple regions.

Supported by specialist trainees and senior BMS staff, the team actively participates in a National Strategic Transformation Plan, fostering closer collaboration with neighboring trusts. A successful digital imaging project has secured funding to develop a regional solution for cellular pathology reporting.
