An outstanding NHS Job opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Perinatal Psychiatrist to join a county-wide Perinatal Psychiatry Service. There is a high level of support within the team and the department is part of an NHS Trust that has an excellent record in training and development for specialty doctors with specific training days and development opportunities.
Established and launched in April 2019, the department became a county-wide service that is led by 2.0 WTE consultant psychiatrists, along with their operational lead. The team receives, on average, 20-25 referrals a week, with the most common source of referrals being from midwives. Self-referrals to the service are also accepted.
