An NHS teaching hospital in North Yorkshire is looking for a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology with an interest in diabetes technology and complex diabetes management. The Diabetes and Endocrinology department comprises a team of 3 consultants and is supported by a large team of middle grade doctors. This Diabetes and Endocrinology job is open to both international applications and UK-based doctors, though those with European Specialist or MRCP (UK) qualifications are most encouraged to apply.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DETAILS
MRCP (UK) and entry on the GMC Specialist Register in GIM, Diabetes and Endocrinology (via CCT, CESR, or equivalent) and substantial NHS or international clinical experience are required for this role, and anyone with an interest in diabetes technology or specialist diabetes services should apply.
CORE DUTIES OF THIS ROLE
Provide a comprehensive clinical service to inpatients and outpatients in Diabetes and Endocrinology.
Participate in the teaching and training of junior medical staff and medical students from a local medical school.
Work closely with the multidisciplinary team across diabetes and endocrine services including support for in-patient and out-patient clinics.
Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and research initiatives, and maintain CPD and appraisal requirements.
