Applications are open for a Respiratory Consultant to help develop the current respiratory service with the support of an established multidisciplinary team.
This department is continually seeking to improve, with projects like a newly established community Respiratory team. The team is friendly and supportive, and you will receive a detailed induction to the NHS.
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
The successful candidate will share the responsibility for the care of inpatients and outpatients in the Respiratory Unit with three Consultant colleagues.
Consultants all have a designated space, in a two person modern office, within the respiratory ward. Consultants are further supported by an Associate Specialist, two Specialty Doctors, a Nurse Consultant, an acute Respiratory Nurse Specialist, and rotational Medical Trainees.
The department have further Specialist Nurse support for our sleep/home ventilation (NIV) service and lung cancer service.
DETAILS OF THE POST:
The Consultant job plan is a 10 PA contract. With additional SPAs for your career development.
Additional EPAs may be offered on appointment for participation in the General Medical on-call rota.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:
EEA candidates - Diploma of specialisation
Non-EEA candidates - MRCP and consultant level experience in Respiratory Medicine
UK candidates - CCT or at least within 6 months of completing CESR
