The hospital is rated as 'outstanding' by the CQC. You will be joining on of the best hospitals in the Midlands, and the UK.
Overview:
You will work with a current group of 8 consultants in an expanding team. The team is truly multidisciplinary including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, cleaning/domestic staff, dieticians, microbiology/infection control, pharmacists, admin staff.
You will work with Consultants in Anaesthesia, Critical Care, Divisional Managers, other members of the Anaesthetic Department, Other consultant colleagues, senior nursing staff and management of the hospital.
There are currently 13 critical care bed spaces which are staffed flexibly to provide Level 3 and Level 2 care by nine nurses and 1one nurse in charge per shift. Nursing leadership is delivered by our Matron, Band 7 nurses, and Clinical Educators.

Requirements for the role:
Uk based applicants:
- Experience in Critical Care Medicine, and at least within 6 months of CCT.
- Consultant experience in Critical Care Medicine, and specialisation.
- EDIC
- Consultant experience
Applications are invited for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Critical Care to join a trust rated as good by the CQC.
The trust is situated in a sought after location in the Midlands, offering an affordable and friendly location.
This post would be ideally suited to candidates with anaesthetic experience who are aiming to advance their CV while gaining critical care experience.
Paid CPD time of 1.5 days per week is allocated for the successful candidate to pursue their clinical/ nonclinical interests. This time may also be used for postgraduate exam preparation (e.g. Primary FRCA).
Critical care is part of the Specialist Support directorate, which incorporates critical care, anaesthesia, theatres, pain and sterile services across NUH. There are 3 distinct adult critical care areas managed by specialist support across the Trust on two campuses.
