Responsibilities:
As a Clinical Scientist you will play a crucial role in Data analysis, Results reporting, Collaboration and Communication, and Quality Assurance. The successful candidate will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders, support business development activity with technical know-how, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Main responsibilities will include:

- Quality Assurance
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the integrity and accuracy of laboratory processes.
- Assist in the implementation of ISO 15189 quality standards and practices.

The anaesthetic department also provides a consultant led acute pain service, a pre- operative assessment service as well as support for anaesthetics in remote areas such as endoscopy and radiology. The pioneering techniques in surgery and pain control that have been developed whilst treating military patients are used for civilian surgery in the UK and elsewhere, and are progressed through the Surgical Reconstruction and Microbiology Research Centre (SRMRC).
With almost 200 Consultants based over the four main hospital sites, the trust currently provide anaesthetic and ICU cover in excess of 400 sessions/week across both the Trust and those hospitals with which we have service level agreements.

Dermatology Team & Department
The Dermatology service sees 16,500 appointments yearly for diagnosing and treating various skin conditions, including skin cancers, lesions, eczema, psoriasis, urticaria, and Vulval conditions. The Dermatology Department is offering outpatient clinics and a comprehensive array of treatments, including minor operations. Additionally, a limited number of clinics and treatments are available at the newly established outpatient facility located in one of their sites.
The Dermatology service currently has over 5000 2ww Outpatient attendances per annum for the diagnosis and treatment of potential skin cancer. Outpatient clinics are run from both sites with an inpatient in-reach service run across their two sites. WHAT IS THE DEPARTMENT & TEAM LIKE?
The post offered is that of Specialist Psychiatrist in Older Adult Psychiatry, working in both the community mental health team and the memory clinic. In addition to this post, three additional CMHTs make up the older adult community service for the borough. The personnel of the CMHT include: medical staff, Community Psychiatric Nurses, Occupational Therapist, and Psychiatric Social Workers. There is a Psychological Therapy Department which provides therapy for older adults and which works across CMHTs in the Borough as does the Occupational Therapy Service.
The post holder will have responsibility for the diagnostic assessment and treatment of older adult psychiatric patients from the designated catchment area referred to and accepted by the service. Outpatient clinics and domiciliary visits in the community will constitute the majority of the direct clinical care provided by the post holder.
