The hospitals associated with Barts Health are all mainly based in Central and East London. Central London's nightlife, art and cultural scene is fantastic, with endless things to do in a friendly, diverse and welcoming environment. Central London is not largely residential and it would be likely you would seek to locate yourself in East London, the 'cooler' part of London. East London is full of parks, reservoirs, canals, wildlife, sports centres and a strong grass roots sports community for adults and children. East London is the more popular part of London for many whilst also host to much of the more affordable housing. Schools are numerous and range from excellent state schools to high performing private or 'public' schools.
