Currently, the department sees approximately 3,600 new patients each year. All consultants contribute to the general Neurology outpatient service, which includes a fast-track pathway for patients with suspected seizures, along with subspecialty clinics for various conditions. On average, the consultant team also manages 30 inpatients per week across the hospital.
Access to Neurophysiology services is excellent, with an experienced and fully staffed department supervised by a consultant Clinical Neurophysiologist. The department is expanding its range of services to include intraoperative spinal monitoring, quantitative small fibre sensory testing, and 24-hour home video EEG recording.
